Office Transformation
Sometimes the smallest spaces we work on in a house can be the most rewarding. This area between a guest bedroom and bathroom presented a bit of a challenge. Originally intended as a vanity/dressing area, the homeowner had no real use for it in this set up. We suggested transforming this quirky space into a small home office.
The existing built-in provided ample desk space and three drawers for holding all the necessary supplies. The dressing area mirror remained in place to make the space feel larger when seated at the desk. New lighting, flooring, and cabinet hardware was added. The key factor that played a role in this transformation was the paint. The walls and the built-in were painted the same color for a cohesive look. The dark color makes the space feel larger than it is but also cozy at the same time. A runner, a desk chair, and some art add personality to this functional office nook.
